MEET THE EDITOR

Charlea / 21 / Journalism undergraduate

Fashion and art are two of the most dominant passions in my life, and two things that are often so mistakenly separated from each other. The textiles industry is one of the most exciting and diverse artistic outlets in the UK: art that is seen every minute of every day in some way, shape or form - from the bodies of ordinary people, to the blankets we throw onto the foot of the bed.

In this blog I've decided to combine my love for textiles with my writing degree and adoration of words. I hope to give coverage to the London textiles scene and help represent fashion as the artistic medium it really is (read more in our mission).

Expect to see:

- exhibition reviews and visits

- news and views of up-and-coming (and established) fabric artists

- comment on designer's collections through an artistic eye

- coverage to textiles students - the next generation of successful artists
- a diary with our edit of exhibitions you should visit
